About the IAPP

Baki Alacayir is Senior Counsel at Mastercard. As a member of Mastercard’s EU Data Protection Office, he advises on the workstreams Integrated Marketing and Communications, Data & Services and Digital Payments. Baki Alacayir is also the regional privacy counsel of the company for local privacy matters in all German-speaking countries. Before joining Mastercard, Baki Alacayir worked as a privacy, cybersecurity, and commercial lawyer at various law international law firms (specializing in the Adtech, Healthcare and Automotive sector), and served as the external DPO of various companies. In addition to his voluntary role at the IAPP, Baki Alacayir is the Co-Spokesman (Regional Chapter Frankfurt) of the Professional Association of DPO’s in Germany (BvD e.V.).
