Simone Lahorgue Nunes is both Doctor and Master in Economic Law by the Universidade de São Paulo.

Professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) Law School in Rio de Janeiro where she teaches Privacy & Data Protection Law. 

Holds certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP): Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe CIPP – E; Certified Information Privacy Manager – CIPM; and Certified Data Protection Officer – CDPO/BR. 

Founding Partner at Lahorgue Advogadas Associadas, a boutique law firm that specializes in Media & Entertainment and Privacy & Data Protection Law.

Co-chair of the executive board of Equality Now, an international non-governmental organization committed to protecting and promoting the rights of women and girls worldwide.
