About the IAPP

Donald B. Johnston is a member of the Intellectual Property, Corporate/Commercial, Communications and Mining Groups, of Aird & Berlis LLP, a Toronto business law firm. He advises health care providers on the Personal Health Information Protection Act and non-health clients on PIPEDA, MFIPPA and FIPPA. He acts for a major Canadian bank concerning its data center arrangements. He frequently lectures and does webinars on privacy. He is a member of the Ontario, Canadian, and International Bar Associations, the Canadian Technology Law Association, The Toronto Computer Lawyers’ Group and related organizations. He is the Honorary Consul for Belgium in Ontario.
