About the IAPP

Mariliza is a Greek-qualified Attorney at law, specialized in Data Protection, Privacy, and Cybersecurity. She holds a Master's degree in Law & Technology from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and is currently volunteering as IAPP Greek KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair.

Mariliza is providing DPO services and has substantial legal working experience in assisting international clients to develop global regulatory privacy compliance programs, from reviewing data protection policies, preparing and handling data mapping projects, drafting agreements and privacy notices/policies, and ensures that the client has followed all compliance steps to adhere to transparency & lawfulness principles. Additionally, Mariliza consults clients for all global privacy and data protection implications with regard to marketing practices and on the adoption of international data transfer mechanisms. During her time abroad, she worked for privacy NGOs, the Council of the EU, and in top-tier international law firms in Brussels and has extensive experience in global projects, risk assessment and the handling of data breach incidents.
