Sofia Chang Nogueira, CIPM, CDPO/BR
Sofia is a multilingual Sino-Brazilian privacy professional currently leading the global privacy governance program at Nubank, where she also acts as an AI Governance Steward. With experience within financial institutions and technology companies, she bridges legal expertise and technological innovation to address complex challenges in data protection, privacy, AI and digital trust.
Additionally, she is a part-time research fellow at FGV’s Center for Technology and Society (CTS), where she contributes to the CyberBRICS project, focusing on China’s digital regulations, and the Platform Governance and Data Regulations project, addressing platform and privacy governance matters. She has previously contributed to the Cybersecurity project as well, co-authoring "Cybersecurity: A Systemic Vision Towards a Proposal for a Regulatory Framework for a Digitally Sovereign Brazil".
Sofia holds a Bachelor in Laws degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and Master of Laws degree from Peking University (PKU), and has also studied EU Law and Corporate Compliance at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, and Chinese culture and Mandarin at National Taiwan Normal University.
