David Len, CIPP/E, CIPM
David Len is a technology lawyer with more than 25 years of professional experience in the legal sector specializing in technology, AI, data, privacy and cybersecurity. David is at present the APAC Senior Legal Director for Technology at DHL Group, the logistics most international company in the world currently with more than 550,000 employees worldwide. His core expertise are; (i) legal strategy & advice, (ii) contracts, and (iii) governance, risks management & compliance (GRC). David conducts internal compliance programs, training DHL employees across Asia-Pacific on topics such as AI, digital hygiene, cybersecurity and data protection. David graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Australia (1996) and has a Master of Laws from UK specializing in Information Technology & Telecommunications (2007). He is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor Malaysia (1997) and a Legal Practitioner New South Wales Australia (2004). To further his knowledge, David has recently obtained, (i) Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPM) by IAPP (2023), (ii) Certified Information Security Foundation based on ISO/IEC 27001 by EXIN (2022), (iii) Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore) by PDPC Singapore & IAPP (2021), (iv) Graduate Certificate in LegalTech by Singapore Management University (2020) and (v) Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe/GDPR (CIPP/E) by IAPP (2019). David has taught part time (2021, 2022, 2023) at the International Compliance Association (ICA) on the module “Leveraging Data for Business Advantage” where he taught compliance professionals on data lifecycle, data strategy, data analytics and data visualization.
