Daniel Pietragallo III, AIGP, CIPP/US, FIP

Daniel Pietragallo serves as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Financial Fraud Unit of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, where his primary responsibilities include working with the State Grand Jury to prosecute complex financial fraud cases and consulting on issues related to cybersecurity. For the past six years, Daniel has worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Law at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. He also sits on the steering committee for the Rocky Mountain Cyber Fraud Task Force, where he works with Federal partners, local law enforcement, academia, and private stakeholders to provide quarterly trainings.
Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He also holds an AIGP certification in artificial intelligence governance, a CIPP/US certification in information privacy law, and the prestigious distinction of Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Daniel is also pursuing his master’s degree in Cybersecurity Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a member of the Sedona Conference’s Working Group 13 on Artificial Intelligence and the Law.
