Christos Zanganas, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP
Christos Zanganas (CIPP/E; CIPM; FIP) is the managing partner of Skopa - Zanganas & Associates and heads the firm's commercial, technology and data protection practice based in Athens, Greece.
He has extensive experience and has successfully handled complex projects related to data protection, privacy and, technology regulation for both Greek and international clients operating in both the private and public sectors.
Christos regularly advises clients on a wide range of data protection issues, ranging from day-to-day compliance and the proper handling of DSARs to international data transfers and the processing of special categories of data. He regularly conducts DPIAs, PIAs, LIAs, AIAs and other in-depth assessments of high-risk new business models and processing activities. He has been involved in and overseen a large number of GDPR compliance projects.
Christos excels and enjoys advising and supporting clients on innovative issues and business cases that land at the intersection of privacy, IP and technology law. He has assisted clients from the following industries and sectors: Stock Exchange, Banking, Pharma & Healthcare, E-Commerce, Platform & App Development, Education (Universities) and e-Governance.
In addition, he provides legal support to international research projects and consortia active in the fields of health, transport, and technology & infrastructure development, by advising them on data protection and AI ethics.
