About the IAPP

Helen is a Senior Privacy Manager at dunnhumby, helping retailers and brands perfect the science of shopping across the world. She has over 13 years’ experience in data privacy and specializes in risk, assurance and building operating models that gain efficiencies, create consistency, and scale. It can safely be said that Helen loves a good process!

Building on the success of the changes made to revolutionize privacy risk assessment at dunnhumby, Helen has recently been thrown into the world of Responsible AI and Data Governance and is embracing the challenge of building a single ‘data front door’ to assess risk. She hopes to bring some pragmatism, honesty and humour (as well as some hopefully helpful hints and tips) on how privacy professionals can manage the challenges of working with stakeholders, across multiple compliance functions and regulatory environments.  

Helen lives in the beautiful cathedral city of Exeter, cannot resist a charity shop, and loves to get out in the countryside with cockapoo, Bertie.
