Vice President, Head of Office of Responsible AI and Governance

Dr. Heather Domin is Vice President and Head of Office of Responsible AI and Governance at HCLTech. In this role, she brings decades of experience as a data and AI leader to spearhead centralized functions for responsible AI and governance. Prior to her role at HCLTech, she was Global Leader of Responsible AI Initiatives at IBM and was instrumental in developing and executing foundational practices in AI ethics and governance, including building IBM's Ethics by Design program and its Algorithmic Impact Assessment. She has served as Associate Director of the Notre Dame - IBM Tech Ethics Lab and has been influential in shaping AI governance practices within the technology industry as a whole. She helped craft the IAPP AI Governance Professional Body of Knowledge and its associated certification exam and now serves as co-chair of the advisory board for the AI Governance Professional certification exam development board. As a World Economic Forum Fellow, she provided executive and research leadership on research centered on Generative AI. Dr. Domin holds a Ph.D. in Business Analytics and Data Science and has professional certifications in AI Governance and multiple project management methodologies. Deeply committed to advancing responsible technology, Dr. Domin writes and speaks about the topic across a diverse array of platforms and venues around the globe.
