About the IAPP

Fiona is a legal and risk management professional. She is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified International Privacy Professional. She is also trained in ISO 27701(Privacy Information Management Systems). Currently, she is a Senior Manager in the Privacy Office at Safaricom PLC where her main role is to ensure personal data is safeguarded and all the applicable data protection laws are complied with. She also collaborates with the Kenya School of Law to build data protection capacity and upskill privacy professionals.

Fiona is also the current Chairlady of the Kenya Privacy Professionals Association, a community of privacy professionals that champions compliance by design and serves as a platform for knowledge sharing.
