About the IAPP

Basmah is a legal expert with a focus on privacy and data governance. She has more than 12 years of experience working in various roles in the Saudi Government. 

Basmah works closely with team members to develop national strategies and project plans that advance Privacy Policy in Saudi. She also works on global policy agenda on a wide range of privacy, data protection, data governance issues.

Basmah holds certification (CIPP/EU) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. She also has a Bachelor of Law from King Saud University, and master degree From Delaware Law School. She currently serves as a Chair of the IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter for Saudi Arabia.
