Matthew Hennessy is a Partner in Dentons Australia specialising in a privacy, AI and technology. He is an experienced technology lawyer with over 15 years’ experience in complex IT transactions and privacy.
Matthew has extensive experience in data and privacy issues and has advised a number of leading Australian banks, insurance companies, telecommunications providers, successful Australian technology businesses and retailers in relation to privacy and data obligations including in response to privacy investigations by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
In addition, Matthew has assisted a number of Australian businesses in relation to artificial intelligence and has delivered regular presentations on the topic of AI. He has prepared and reviewed AI related governance documentation, considered AI strategy and advised on risks associated with the use of AI tools.
