Monisha Varadan

With almost 12 years at Google, Monisha has dedicated the last six to navigating the evolving landscape of digital privacy. She spearheaded Google's Privacy Sandbox efforts in APAC, driving conversations with regulators, developers, and privacy practitioners about the next era of digital advertising. Building on this experience, she spent two years fostering strategic privacy partnerships with large companies and brands across Europe. In her current role as EMEA Privacy Lead, Monisha sits in the DPO office which is situated within Google’s Privacy, Safety and Security product and engineering organization, the same team that is also responsible for building Google’s central privacy infrastructure. Monisha spends most of her time trying to convince the privacy ecosystem on the benefits of using PETs especially in the age of AI. When she's not immersed in privacy challenges, she finds joy in spending time with her three daughters, whether they're bouldering, exploring forests, or swimming in the Loing.
