At zooplus SE, Europe’s largest online retailer for pet supplies, he designs and scales GDPR programs across 30 European markets and helps shape the company’s AI governance strategy to drive responsible innovation. Listed in the European Data Protection Board’s Support Pool of Experts, Kai contributes legal and ethical expertise on privacy, data protection, and emerging technologies at the EU level. With a background in operational security and risk management, he brings a human-centered perspective to data protection - guided by the principle that protecting data means protecting people. As a Young Privacy Professional with the IAPP Munich KnowledgeNet, Kai actively connects and supports the local privacy community, advancing a culture of trust, accountability, and digital self-determination across organizations and society.
