About the IAPP

Dr. Jon Truby is an AI Law and Governance Professor & Director headquartered in Doha, Qatar of www.MENAExecutiveTraining.com. He has worked in higher education and legal research in Qatar since 2010, formerly a law professor at Qatar University and director of the national university’s legal research and policy centre which studied AI and emerging technologies law, and a visiting AI law professor at Newcastle University. He has published extensively in high impact journals on AI Governance and data privacy regulations, and is recognised as a regulatory policy influencer of the European Parliament’s data privacy and AI regulations. He is the Middle East region’s first AIGP (Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional Certification) trainer. He has established MENA Executive Training to become the Gulf region’s IAPP-Authorised Training Partner for certified data privacy training.
