With almost 20 years of experience under his belt in the areas of data

protection, online privacy, information governance and information

security globally, with an emphasis on Latin America, the EU and the US,

Cédric Laurant has handled legal compliance and public policy projects,

government affairs and public advocacy missions, technical assistance,

research, training and capacity-building services for international

organizations, governments, private companies, NGOs and trade associations.

He is the owner of Laurant Law Firm/Abogados,

http://cedriclaurant.com, where his main activities consist of solving

the IT law issues and data privacy problems faced by Mexican and

international companies doing business in Mexico and throughout Latin

America. The Leaders League has ranked him as one of Mexico's top 4 data

privacy attorneys since 2015.

He is also the Executive Director of Mexico's 1st non-profit

organization Artículo 12 (a/k/a "SonTusDatos"), https://sontusdatos.org, 

active on data privacy issues and related digital rights since 2012.

He is an attorney, member of the District of Columbia Bar (US), and

graduated from the University of Louvain in Belgium, and Columbia Law

School in New York.
