Keith Clayton II is a Principal Corporate Counsel in the Privacy and Regulatory Affairs organization at Microsoft Corporation. As part of this organization, Keith helps Microsoft’s internal teams solve challenging global privacy and data protection issues impacting Microsoft’s global organizations and products.



Prior to taking this position, Keith worked in multiple legal and privacy organizations focusing on the laws of privacy, data protection, consumer protection, telecommunications, information technology, and intellectual property. In addition to his experience as an attorney, Keith has taught Information Policy at Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies.



Keith is a member of bar of the State of Colorado and is a graduate of Wabash College (BA), Boston College Law School (JD), and the University of Colorado Law School (LL.M. – Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law).
