About the IAPP

Rob Grosvenor is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal where he leads the global privacy and data compliance services team. Rob brings more than 20 years of experience in advising on global and cross-border privacy, data governance and related data rules.

Mr. Grosvenor has significant experience in designing, delivering and maintaining global privacy programs including major GDPR readiness and global privacy programs involving strategy, governance, risk management, operational compliance and project management. He works with clients to embed data compliance as part of their digital transformation and data strategy initiatives. Areas of expertise and interest includes the application of digital ethics and AI compliance in the information economy and management of privacy, trust and corporate social responsibility across the global digital supply chain.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Rob spent nine years with Promontory (an IBM company), where he most recently served as a Managing Director. In this role, he was in charge of the Global Privacy and Data Protection practice. Previously, he was a privacy consultant at Deloitte in London and Brussels for 13 years. Mr. Grosvenor started his career as a stagiaire with the European Commission’s DG Competition.

Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in English and European Laws from the University of Essex. He completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Law School and is a member of the Computer and Laws Society. In his spare time, he supports Norwich City Football Club and love travelling.
