About the IAPP

Mark Ratner, CIPP/C, CIPM, is Associate Privacy Officer with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). In this capacity, Mark is responsible for the day to day management of HOOPP’s privacy office and for the ongoing development and enhancement of HOOPP’s privacy program. Prior to joining HOOPP, Mark was Ombudsperson and Privacy Officer for a health service provider, and Mark has previously been employed in various roles with the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. Mark is a lawyer and was called to Bar in Ontario in 2002.
