About the IAPP

Kim Emiru is a Director, Legal - Privacy at ServiceNow, where she focuses on global privacy compliance. Kim’s responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial terms related to privacy for inbound and outbound agreements, implementing a Privacy by Design program, drafting privacy notices, policies and procedures, and advising on enterprise data governance.

Kim began her career at the Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, where she investigated alleged violations of HIPAA, including data breaches. She also previously worked at Workday supporting global privacy initiatives as well as MongoDB supporting several regional sales teams.

Kim is a Certified Information Privacy Professional US/Europe (CIPP US/E) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) and a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP). She received her law degree from the University of Iowa, College of Law and holds an A.B. from the University of Chicago. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and is a registered in-house counsel in California.
