Elise Houlik is the Chief Privacy Officer at Intuit, where she leads the company’s global privacy and data stewardship strategy, ensuring data is used responsibly to power innovation across Intuit’s ecosystem of financial technology products. With more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of privacy, law, and emerging technology, Elise is widely regarded for her ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical frameworks that enable safe, transparent, and customer-focused data use. Prior to joining Intuit, Elise served as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Privacy & Data Protection at Mastercard, guiding privacy strategy for global business lines including open banking, digital payments, and emerging technologies. She previously held the role of Lead Privacy & Cybersecurity Counsel at Fannie Mae. Elise is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US) and is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and New York (in-house). She holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. Elise is an active voice in the privacy community, frequently engaging with industry and policy leaders on responsible data practices and the evolving landscape of AI governance.
