Abigail Carter-Langford, CIPP/C

Abigail Carter-Langford is an information governance professional with extensive working across public and private sectors to develop and implement comprehensive privacy and security policies and programs. Currently acting as an independent advisor, Abigail is known for her strategic approach to navigating complex transformation challenges. The focus of her work is on leveraging emerging and innovative technologies to meet the needs of Canadians and their health care providers.
Most recently, Abigail served as Executive Vice President – Governance, Risk and Compliance and Chief Privacy & Security Officer at Canada Health Infoway. Prior to joining Infoway, Abigail served as Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Privacy Officer for eHealth Ontario and Chief Privacy Officer at the University Health Network. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C), she also holds a Masters in Health Law from OsgoodeHall Law School.
