Adam Higgins, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, FIP
Adam Higgins began his career in privacy in 2012 as a privacy and data protection consultant at Ernst & Young in the United States. While at Ernst & Young, Adam led domestic and international project teams serving domestic and international clients across multiple industries. His teams worked on a variety of projects, including data flow mapping, drafting Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs), developing policies, procedures, and training and performing privacy gap assessments. To date, Adam has conducted privacy gap assessments in over 20 countries across 5 continents. After Ernst & Young, Adam joined Corning Incorporated where he served as the Regional Privacy Manager for APAC. At Corning, Adam was responsible for implementing Corning’s BCRs in APAC, developing its accountability framework and supporting global information security projects. In November 2018, Adam relocated to Shanghai, China with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Inc., serving as its Regional Privacy Officer for APAC. Currently, Adam’s focus includes implementing ADP’s BCR Codes in APAC, creating awareness around privacy in the APAC region through workshops and trainings, assessing compliance against draft and current privacy legislations and supporting enhancements to ADP’s global privacy program.
