About the IAPP

Sakina Sharp currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for Kemper Life, supporting life insurance, property and casualty insurance, and supplemental health insurance products. Sakina and her team are responsible for market conduct exams and inquiries, regulatory filings, complaints management, compliance training, regulatory change management, issue management, government relations, and providing legal advice to the business. Sakina is an experienced insurance CCO and managing attorney with 20 plus years of progressive experience leading dynamic and faced-paced legal and compliance departments for highly regulated large and mid-sized insurance companies, advising on insurance and privacy law and regularly collaborating with regulators to address key regulatory issues. Prior to Kemper, Sakina was with USAA and Allstate. Sakina is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and New York University. Sakina is licensed to practice law in IL and TX.
