Francesco Gualtieri, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, FIP
Francesco began his career in privacy towards the end of 2013, and in 2014 he was appointed as a Global DPO at V-TServices (an IBM Company) in the EU. While at V-TServices, Francesco led domestic and international project teams serving domestic and international branches across the Financial industry. Starting from scratch, his teams worked on various projects, including data flow mapping, developing policies, processes, procedures, training, and performing privacy gap assessments. To date, Francesco has conducted several privacy gap assessments in over 50 countries across five continents. After VT-Service, he went back to IBM, where he joined the IBM Global Technology Service (“GTS”) GDPR Global Project Management team having the goal of supporting that organization in defining, implementing, and managing its own corporate GTS GDPR Compliance Program.
He later joined LivaNova, where he initially served as the EU Privacy Manager and then Global Privacy Manager. At LivaNova, he was responsible for defining and implementing its own PIMS at the global level, developing its accountability framework, and supporting global information security projects. Currently, Francesco’s focus includes implementing the internal PIMS, creating awareness around privacy within the Company, assessing compliance against the draft and current privacy legislations, and supporting enhancements to LivaNova’s global privacy program.
