About the IAPP

Lynn Larson is VP Legal and Chief Privacy Officer at Medcan Health Management Inc., a health and wellness clinic helping people “Live Well, For Life”. Lynn provides guidance on privacy law and many other day-to-day questions and concerns in the dynamic and ever-evolving health care space. Lynn is a Member of the Canadian Bar Association National Privacy and Access Law Section and holds CIPP/C, CIPP/EU and CIPM designations from the IAPP and recently completed Osgoode’s Health Law Certificate program. Lynn is a graduate of Queen’s University (B.A. Hons) and the University of Western Ontario (LL.B). Lynn started her legal career at Stikeman Elliott after being called to the bar in 2003. Prior to joining Medcan in 2021, Lynn was in-house counsel to BCE Inc., one of Canada’s largest telecommunications companies, for close to 15 years.
