About the IAPP

Julia has worked in the privacy field since 2007 and is the Data Protection Officer for Shawbrook Bank, a specialist UK savings and lending bank founded in 2011. She is responsible for advising on all aspects of compliance with UK and European privacy laws and for developing and implementing the Group Privacy Management Framework. Julia heads up the Privacy Office and manages group privacy policies, standards and guidance providing oversight on all data protection and privacy activities as well as the design and the delivering of the privacy awareness and training programme. Prior to joining Shawbrook Bank, Julia held the position of Data Protection Officer at C. Hoare & Co. a UK private bank and was responsible for the implementation of their GDPR program.

Julia holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
