About the IAPP

As Head of APAC on Google's Privacy Legal team, Angela brings over a decade of expertise in crafting and executing data protection strategies on a global scale with a strong focus on APAC. Her experience spans product counseling, regulatory risk management, and policy implementation. A pioneer in the field, Angela was part of the founding team of Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission and has held regional privacy leadership roles at Uber and the Great Eastern insurance group. In her free time, she volunteers with AsiaDPO, a Singapore registered society for privacy professionals and tries to get in 4 sessions of “zone 2” cardio.
