Kopiha Nathan is a trusted healthcare privacy and cyber security advisor and leader with over 20 years of experience in risk management, information security and privacy. As the Lead, Privacy and Compliance Officer for Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC) Group, the leading provider of healthcare liability insurance in Canada, Kopiha oversees various internal and external functions dedicated to safeguarding sensitive and personal health information. 

A recognized speaker and seasoned facilitator, Kopiha excels in conducting executive and board-level cybersecurity breach tabletop exercises. Her career began in healthcare risk management, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing HIROC's standing within the Canadian healthcare sector. Kopiha has led numerous risk management and cybersecurity educational initiatives, helping Canadian healthcare organizations navigate the complexities of data security and cyber resilience.

Kopiha holds a background in Information Technology Management and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law at Osgoode Hall Law School.
