Leonie Power, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, AIGP is a Partner and dual-qualified UK and EU (Ireland) Privacy/AI Lawyer in Fieldfisher UK’s top-ranked Technology and Data Group.
She has provided strategic and practical advice on the full range of privacy and data protection issues affecting business operations over a period of more than 20 years. She also advises on emerging AI and broader tech reg issues, as well as AI governance projects. She leads on the provision of data protection officer services to UK and international clients across different sectors.
Leonie's practice has spanned a wide range of businesses from start-ups to global brands, as well as public sector entities, and a broad range of sectors, including the technology, retail, media, gaming, travel, pensions, property management, ad tech, premiership football, telecommunications, life sciences and financial services sectors.
In addition, she is a cyber-breach specialist. She helps clients to assess risk in the context of incidents and to navigate potentially complex notification matrices.
Leonie is a member of the Faculty of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. As part of this Faculty, she gives CIPP/E, Foundations of Privacy and Data Protection and AI Governance Professional training to privacy and AI pros based in many different international locations.
As well as her FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM and AIGP status, Leonie holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) and an LLM Degree (Masters) from University College Cork and a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Nottingham (Distinction).
Leonie speaks conversational German, Italian and Irish Gaelic.
