About the IAPP

Brian Scarpelli is Senior Global Policy Counsel at ACT | The App Association, where he works on a diversity of legal and policy issues impacting mobile app development companies, including privacy, cybersecurity, competition, digital trade/data flows, intellectual property, and disability access.

Previous to joining ACT, Brian worked for over five years at the Telecommunications Industry Association, a trade association representing telecommunications equipment manufacturers and vendors that is also a standards-setting organization. He has also spent time with the Federal Communications Commission, the District of Columbia Public Service Commission, and the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions.
