Stefano Fantin, CIPP/E
Stefano, LL.M., CIPP/E, is global Privacy Officer and main Advisor on Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs (EBA, DORA, NIS2) for the financial services of the Swedish automotive manufacturer Scania CV AB (Volkswagen Group).
He also lectures a course on privacy and cybersecurity law for the master in Operators of Essential Services at the University of Paris Sud / Institut Mines-Télécom and is a guest lecturer for the Master in EU Law and Policies at the LUISS School of Government (Rome).
Previous roles include positions at Europol, EDPS, the UK Government and the Center for IT and IP Law (CITIP). While at CITIP, he has advised organizations such as the EU Commission, national governments, regulators and critical infrastructure operators on privacy, law enforcement cooperation, national security and cybersecurity policy. Between 2018 and 2021, he has also collaborated as an Affiliated Researcher with the Brussels think-tank CEPS (Center for EU Policy Studies), on public policy matters related to cyber defense and AI.
Graduated in law from the universities of Trieste (Italy) and Tilburg (Netherlands), Stefano has extensively published on scientific journals about cyber law and security studies. He was recently included in the pool of independent external Experts of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB).
