About the IAPP

Denise is currently the President of Farnsworth Law PC, and the CEO and Founder of Inspire! Privacy and Security, LLC. Her previous roles included: Deputy Data Protection Officer for Facebook Ireland, Chief Privacy Officer and Senior Global Corporate Counsel for Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Senior Director, Global Privacy Officer, Lead Privacy Counsel for NetSuite and Head of Legal, Data Privacy and Compliance Officer for Microsoft Ireland where she provided support for Microsoft’s European Development Centre, Irish Subsidiary, Data Centre and Microsoft's Operations Center for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Her current focus is on domestic and international data privacy, data protection and other data related issues (including artificial intelligence). She is skilled in government affairs, regulatory compliance, strategy development, operationalizing the law, as well as compliant product and business development.

Denise is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association (2005 – Present), a Utah State Commissioner on the Privacy Protection Oversight Committee (2023 - Present), and a current member of the Global DPO Network. She currently holds several certifications and a PLS designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, as well as acting as a facilitator for IAPP certification classes. She was listed on Legal 500's Power GC List in Ireland in 2015 and was a Charter Member of the Ireland Chamber of Commerce General Counsel Forum (2013 – 2016), Board Member of the Society for Computers and Law Irish Chapter (2013 – 2016), Committee Member for the Data Working Group of the Department of the Taoiseach (2105 – 2016), Chair of the Data Privacy and Security Group for IBEC/ICT Ireland (2015 – 2016), Cultural Diversity Lead for Microsoft Ireland (2013 –2014) and is a regular guest lecturer and speaker at multiple venues (2009 -present).
