About the IAPP

Janan Crocker is Senior Product & Privacy Counsel on the Global Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team at TikTok. She advises on privacy and AI regulatory matters, and leads the company’s global AI governance and compliance strategy. Before joining TikTok, Janan served in product and privacy leadership roles at Google, Atlassian, and Databricks. She has extensive experience advising technology companies on US and global privacy matters including: regulatory readiness, designing and implementing risk management programs, advising engineering teams on privacy by design, implementing cybersecurity best practices, supporting policy and government affairs advocacy efforts, and negotiating customer and vendor contracts. 

Janan also serves on the Duke Cybersecurity Leadership Council and Duke Law Alumnae Leadership Board.
