Brian Segobiano
Brian Segobiano is a CIPP/E and leads the data and technology practice where he helps organizations design, build, and operationalize data protection and governance programs. Brian serves as a third-party Data Protection Officer and has supported organizations across the globe and industries with issues including privacy program benchmarking and strategy, data mapping, privacy and transfer impact assessments, cybersecurity, and technology implementations. He serves as the Chief Privacy Officer for the firm and is responsible for awareness, training, data protection addendum negotiations, and privacy governance.
Brian is a frequent author, speaker, faculty, and podcast guest on cutting edge developments in data protection. He is currently a co-chair of the International Association of Privacy Professionals KnowledgeNet Chapter of Chicago.
Brian also has extensive experience advising counsel and organizations who face complex and data intensive disputes and investigations. Leveraging his background in database development and advanced analytics, his team helps counsel and organizations identify, collect, structure, and analyze information to inform legal and business decision-making in high-risk scenarios.
In his free time, Brian serves as a board member for the Bloomington-Normal, IL YMCA. He is also the President of the Board for the Bloomington Knockers Youth Football and Cheerleading program, a non-profit which focuses on cultivating values of hard work, diversity, and community through sports in over 300 athletes in kindergarten through 8th grade.
