About the IAPP

Jen Tierney heads up the Privacy, Compliance, and Risk team at Cision. In 2013, Jen began working at Crimson Hexagon, a tech startup in Boston, in Customer Support. Over a decade later, she has worn many hats and found her way to the privacy space. With a Master’s in Library and Information Sciences, the shift to privacy in 2017 was a natural one as the nascent aspects of the field align well with her commitment to being a life-long learner.

In her role, Jen has learned to apply the complex and constantly changing regulatory landscape of Privacy to fast growing tech companies. She has authored the privacy, compliance, risk, and AI frameworks for her organization. When she isn’t trying to educate her colleagues on the dense world of privacy law, Jen enjoys spending time with her 3 kids, baking, knitting, and hosting the occasional podcast.
