About the IAPP

Lucia currently works as a Senior Counsel in Data Protection and Privacy Counsel Mastercard in a global role specialized in financial crime and cryptocurrency matters. Prior to joining Mastercard, Lucia was working at Toyota Motor Europe was a Senior Legal Counsel in Privacy and Data Protection. At Toyota Lucia worked in connected cars projects, pan-EU governance and GDPR compliance, quality and R&D and new mobility projects.  Prior to Toyota, Lucia was working in consulting companies including EDPO (European Data Protection Office) in a role as a GDPR Representative for non-EU countries. 

She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Université Saint-Louis (Brussels), Master’s in European Law from Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and an LL.M. in International Business law from La Sorbonne (Paris) and INSEAD (Singapore). She is CIPP/E certified since 2018.
