Clarissa Luz

With over 20 years of expertise within top-tier law firms in Brazil, Clarissa launched her own boutique in 2025 - LuzLaw, focused on delivering creative legal solutions for complex Tech Law & Privacy matters, especially on Data Monetization and Anonymization issues, considering her strong background in crafting legal, business, risk, and cybersecurity strategies for global companies, as well as creating new data revenue streams with trust.
The United Nations invited her as a co-creator of their International Privacy Standards within the Digital Public Goods Alliance Experts Group (2024).
Clarissa specialized in Tech Law & Privacy from the University of California, Berkeley, and in International Private Law from The Hague University, The Netherlands. She is an Executive Director at Berkeley Global Society, an Arbitrator at the ABPI, and a Coordinator at the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr). She has acted for a number of years by invitation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as their judge and legal mentor for invested tech entrepreneurs, in Washington/DC and Miami, USA.
Clarissa has authored several academic articles, including pioneer theses on Data Monetization and Ownership, Reidentification Risk Assessments in Anonymized Data, ADRs on tech and data-related disputes. She is a professor invited by universities and an international speaker (Paris and Silicon Valley).
