About the IAPP

Eli Serota is a Senior Director at FTI Consulting, where he leads the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications Asia team. Eli provides high level communications guidance to organizations facing crisis issues, with a specific emphasis around cybersecurity incident response and cybersecurity preparedness scenarios, particularly those involving sensitive data such as personal identifiable information (“PII”), protected health information (“PHI”), and intellectual property (“IP”). These scenarios involve the design and implementation of complex, multistakeholder communications programs to address the specific needs of each organization. Having worked on dozens of cybersecurity crisis issues across the world, including several high-profile issues in the APAC region, Eli’s experience spans multiple industries including financial services, industrials, healthcare, legal services, national defense, logistics, and technology. He has advised organizations facing double & triple extortion ransomware, phishing campaigns, human engineered breaches, and credential stuffing attacks.
