About the IAPP

Denagharan Subramaniam is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of expertise in AI, IoT, and Cybersecurity, having worked with local and international MNCs across diverse sectors such as banking, data centres, global business services, oil and gas, infrastructure vendors, antivirus companies, government cybersecurity agencies, education providers, and cybersecurity service providers.

He combines theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in AI/ML-driven banking fraud detection, IT incident/problem/change management, IT architecture, security implementations and governance specializing in anti-malware solutions, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), penetration testing, vulnerability management, cyber forensics, and security data analytics. Denagharan has also developed and tendered custom AI/IoT solutions for use cases such as predictive and intelligent analysis, automation, surveillance, traffic management, chatbot and LLM-assisted education, water quality monitoring, and mobile waste detection and collection systems.

As an accomplished trainer in his spare time, he has also conducted sessions for corporate board of directors and other executive leaders, senior manager, and professionals across sectors like finance, insurance, energy, and telecommunications. His extensive portfolio includes training local and international government agencies such as Cybersecurity Malaysia, MCMC, MINDEF, KSU and various SUKs, Azerbaijan CERT, Sudan CERT, Philippines NBI and National Police, Brunei CERT and Royal Police Force, Cambodia Bureau of ICT Security, Indonesia CERT, LaoCERT, Kazakhstan Information Security Committee, Nigeria National Cash Transfer Office, and many others. He also collaborates with higher education providers in Malaysia to train lecturers, students and their clients. An active public speaker, Denagharan presents on cybersecurity and AI, sharing insights from his vast professional and practical experience to empower and educate diverse audiences.
