Lee Licata
Lee Licata currently serves as the first ever Deputy Chief for National Security Data Risk in the DOJ National Security Division’s Foreign Investment Review Section (FIRS). In this new role, Lee is responsible for overseeing DOJ’s staff level efforts to implement Executive Order 14117, “Preventing Access to Americans' Bulk Sensitive Personal Data and United States Government-Related Data by Countries of Concern.”
Previously Lee served as the FIRS Deputy Chief for Telecom and Supply Chain where he oversaw a team that carries out DOJ’s responsibilities as the chair of Team Telecom, the interagency body that assesses national security and law enforcement risk to the U.S. telecommunications service sector. Lee also oversaw FIRS’s efforts to mitigate national security risks in the technology supply chain.
Lee previously served as the first Director for Supply Chain and Technology Security in the White House Office of the National Cyber Director. Lee has also previously served as the Deputy Director for Trade Policy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Office of Policy as well as the Branch Chief for Trade Agreements at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Office of Trade.
Lee has a Bachelors of Arts in international politics from George Washington University and a Juris Doctor from Cardozo Law School.
