About the IAPP

Tom is the Co-founder and CEO of Refute which is focused on fighting disinformation by detecting and responding to campaigns at the speed of the attackers.

Previous to Refute Tom spent over 15 years building world-leading data analysis solutions to tackle terrorist attacks, cyber attacks, and money laundering with a complex set of customers including national security, defence and tech companies. Tom delivered these solutions whilst working in leadership roles at Ripjar, BAE Systems and Detica.

Tom holds a masters degree in Electronic Engineering from Cambridge University.
