Deborah Adleman is a strategic leader specializing in AI governance and data risk management. As the founder of Adleman Consulting Services, she partners with global enterprises to design and implement AI, data governance and privacy frameworks and programs that foster ethical AI use, align data governance with business goals, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Deborah combines her Big 4 consulting and in-house leadership experience to deliver practical, results-driven strategies that strengthen data protection and foster responsible AI adoption.
Deborah spent over a decade at Ernst & Young (EY), where she led the U.S. & Americas Data Risk Management program and strategy, overseeing global data protection, privacy, and ethics and compliance programs. She integrated regulations such as GDPR, and HIPAA with data risk management and company strategies across regions to stay ahead of emerging regulatory challenges.
In 2021, Deborah founded Adleman Consulting Services, advising organizations on AI governance and data protection. Her expertise includes developing risk management frameworks, and optimizing privacy programs, and AI data risk strategies which are aligned with regulatory standards and business objectives.
Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a sought-after speaker on AI governance, data protection, and risk management. She has contributed to articles in leading publications and frequently speaks at industry events. Deborah has served on the Editorial Board for IAPP CIPP/US and as New York City Knowledge Net Leader for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), providing subject matter expertise for trainings and certifications, including the IAPP’s AI certification, AIGP.
