About the IAPP

Lucia is Senior Managing Counsel, VP for Privacy, AI, and Data Responsibility at Mastercard, specializing in global cybersecurity and data governance. Before joining Mastercard, she served as Senior Legal Counsel at Toyota Motor Europe, leading privacy and data protection initiatives in connected cars, pan-EU governance, and GDPR compliance. Earlier, she worked at consulting firms including EDPO, representing non-EU organizations under GDPR. Lucia holds a Bachelor’s from Université Saint-Louis (Brussels), a Master’s in European Law from UCLouvain (Belgium), and an LL.M. in International Business Law from La Sorbonne (Paris) and INSEAD (Singapore). She is CIPP-E certified since 2018.
