About the IAPP

Lyndsay Wasser, CIPP/C, leads McMillan’s Privacy and Data Protection Group nationally. She provides strategic support to clients on a wide range of privacy matters, including advising on data security, data breaches, employee privacy, handling sensitive information (e.g., health, biometrics & demographic data), webscraping, AI, surveillance and transferring personal information across borders. She helps organizations conduct privacy impact assessments and develop privacy compliance programs, including privacy policies, procedures and consent strategies. She also regularly drafts and negotiates privacy and data protection terms in a variety of contracts. Lyndsay is co-author of Privacy in the Workplace, 4th ed., and Co-Director of Osgoode’s Certificate in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. She has been recognized as a Mondaq Thought Leader for Data Protection, Canada and is repeatedly recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada, Lexpert, and Thomson Reuters Stand-Out Lawyers.
