As Asia’s premier event in privacy, IAPP Asia Privacy Forum did not disappoint in 2024. The distinguished lineup of expert speakers included regulators from India, Thailand, Philippines and Singapore who shared their unique insights and perspectives on critical topics across the region. They covered important topics such as AI governance, cross-border data transfers, data sovereignty, privacy-enhancing technologies, complying with China’s PIPL law and more.
Attendees also gained a deeper understanding of the rapidly-changing regulatory landscape regionally and globally and left the conference equipped with practical solutions they could use right away in their own privacy operations. And after spending two days connecting with fellow privacy pros in Asia, they returned home with an even larger network of experts to ask questions of and share best practices among in the future.

The IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/China training program was launched at Forum. Developed with subject matter experts on Chinese personal information protection regulations, this training provides knowledge on China’s foundational privacy laws. It aligns with the soon-to-be-released CIPP/CN certification exam.
The Forum was operated in conjunction with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Week 2024, held by the Personal Data Protection Commission.
